Technology Use at Lincoln and Willard
As part of the continuing effort to use technology to complement our instructional program, students in Kindergarten through 4th will have 1:1 classroom access to iPads in the 2016-17 school year. This initiative replaces shared cart-based laptops and iPads with each student having access to a specific and assigned iPad during the school day. All students do not take the iPads home after school and use the tablets for learning only at teacher direction. For students at Lincoln and Willard, the iPads are being used to support instruction in math and literacy. For instance, in math students are able to demonstrate and explain their math thinking in solving problems, which helps to deepen student understanding and can be used to help fellow students.
