In fifth and sixth grade, students and teachers also use the website Edmodo to communicate information. Signing up for an Edmodo Parent Account is a great way to stay up to date about your child’s classroom activity, such as assignments, grades, and school events. WATCH THESE VIDEOS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT EDMODO PARENT ACCOUNTS.
How to Sign up in Edmodo as a Parent:
1. Obtain the unique 6-digit Parent Code from your child’s account (Note: this is not the same as your child’s Group Code).
• Each child has a different Parent Code. Have your child log into his/her Student Account in Safari and scroll down on the homepage. The Parent Code is located in the bottom left corner.
2. Go to www.district90.edmodo.com in a web browser.
3. Click the “I’m a Parent” button and fill in the required information.
Once you create a Parent Account, there is never a need to create a new account. You will use the same account year after year. As your child joins new classes/groups,your account will be updated to reflect these changes.
Additionally, 5th grade students are piloting the MyHomework app as an assignment notebook. Log in at myhomeworkapp.com in a web browser or to the MyHomework app on your smartphone with your student's Google credentials to see the assignments that are coming up.
